Lakes International Language Academy

Lakes International Language Academy (LILA) is a K-12 public charter school that opened in 2004. The school mission: To prepare tomorrow’s critical thinkers and global citizens through language acquisition and inquiry-driven study. As an IB World school we strive to foster the attributes of the IB learner profile. Our primary years program in grades K-5 offers Spanish or Mandarin immersion for all students. Our upper school for grades 6-12 provides continuing study of these partner languages for immersion students and addition courses in French, Mandarin or Spanish for students new to a second or third language.  A majority of our graduates earn a bilingual seal or world language proficiency certificate from the state of Minnesota.
