Wimbish World Language Academy is a 50:50 Two-Way Dual Language Immersion public school in Arlington, Texas, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. At WWLA, we offer two language programs: Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program and the Foreign Language in Elementary Schools (FLES) program.
- Our Dual Language program begins in Pre-K and consists of two language tracks (Spanish or French) where students spend half the instructional day in English for English Language Arts and Reading integrated with Social Studies, and the other half in Spanish or French for Math, Science and literacy.
- Students begin participating in the FLES program starting in 2nd grade as part of their rotation with Music, Art, and Physical Education. In this program, students develop their third or fourth language and can choose from Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese.
